1. Agreement and operator
These terms govern use of PrepayGuard, a Shopify app operated by LYP Technologies Private Limited. By installing or using the app on behalf of a store, the merchant confirms authority to accept these terms. Questions can be sent to info@launchurplatform.com.
2. The service
PrepayGuard lets a merchant mark selected Shopify code discounts as prepaid-only. When one of those discounts is applied, a Shopify Payment Customization Function attempts to hide the merchant-configured payment methods. Removing the discount allows Shopify to show eligible methods again.
3. Free service
PrepayGuard V1 is offered free of charge and does not use Shopify Billing. PrepayGuard charges no app fees. The merchant remains responsible for Shopify plan, payment-provider, transaction, or other third-party charges that do not originate from PrepayGuard.
4. Merchant responsibilities
- Keep Cash on Delivery, manual payments, and online payment methods correctly configured in Shopify.
- Enter payment-method names or aliases carefully and avoid a rule that could match an unintended method.
- Select the correct discounts and confirm their eligibility, dates, combinations, and customer-facing terms.
- Test checkout before launch and after payment, discount, market, currency, theme, Shopify plan, or app configuration changes.
- Comply with applicable consumer, discount, payment, privacy, tax, and ecommerce laws.
- Protect Shopify staff accounts and access to the installed app.
5. Availability and changes
The service depends on Shopify, Google Cloud, Neon, internet access, and the merchant's payment configuration. Features may be updated, suspended, or discontinued to maintain security, comply with law or platform rules, or operate the service. Reasonable notice will be given when practical, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.
6. Acceptable use
Merchants must not misuse the app, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorized access, use it unlawfully, or represent that PrepayGuard guarantees a payment, discount outcome, fraud result, or customer conversion.
7. Data and third-party services
Use of Shopify remains governed by the merchant's agreement with Shopify. Cloud hosting and database services are provided by Google Cloud and Neon. PrepayGuard's handling of app information is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PrepayGuard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. LYP Technologies Private Limited does not warrant that every payment method will be identified under every name or checkout configuration. The merchant is responsible for verifying checkout behavior.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Termination
A merchant can stop using PrepayGuard by uninstalling it. Access may be suspended for unlawful, abusive, or security-threatening use. On uninstall, the app deletes its stored Shopify session records after a verified uninstall or shop-redaction notice; Shopify-hosted data remains subject to Shopify's platform behavior and merchant controls.
